Welcome to FOCUS!
The aim of this Blogger is not only to keep you up to date as we progress through our campaign but to educate the up and coming campaigners about how to create an effective complex campaign.
For those who don't know what FOCUS is all about...
FOCUS is an awareness campaign that is aimed at educating Central TAFE students about the consequences of mobile phone usage whilst driving. This campaign was developed by the Diploma of Public Relations students which originally started out as a challenge by our lecturer but has now developed into a worthwhile cause with several stakeholders that can positively impact our target public's lives.
At 10am on the 15th September, 2009, Victoria & myself launched our new Facebook page. This page includes a competition to win a FE20 Olympus digital camera. Members simply have to watch a text driving PSA and answer a question about the advertisement to go into the draw to win. At the present moment we have 346 members (which was promoted just by word of mouth), which is a huge achievement this early on in the stages of our campaign.
In the next few weeks we will be rolling out some creative posters to four of the Central TAFE campuses and at the moment we have established all four of our electronic communication tools (Blogger, Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook) and we are in the process of organising activities for the day and creating relationships with our key stakeholders.
